We don't need no stinking medicine cabinets!

This photo is kinda dark, and there's a shadow from the standing cabinet, but this is the final wall after drywall repair. Not perfect, but I'm so proud of myself for doing it.

And here's the final vision. After looking and looking for the right-sized and -priced mirror, we decided to use one we already had (courtesy of my mom, from many years ago). I love, love, love the way it looks. And once I paint the sink cabinet brown (and change the door fronts) I think it will look even better.

Yesterday morning we went on a shopping trip to look for a coffee table. Instead, we got new mattress pads for the girls' beds (buy one, get one half price at Linens 'n' Things) which resulted in a complete rearranging of their room, a big five-shelf bookcase ($150 at World Market) for the girls which resulted in a complete rearranging of the playroom, and a rug for the kitchen sink area. We needed a coffee table for today's superbowl party, but we ended up just moving the ottoman from the playroom to the den. It works for now.

Wow! Way to go! I love the way it looks. You are getting so much done around your house, that I feel like a bum! Maybe I could drop my new kid off at your house and get something done around here! (lol)

Sorry to say but the yellow has got to go before you jump off a cliff from looking at it. Once you get the yellow out you will have a completely new room to work with. I just painted all of my bathroom walls a soft lavender. the tiles were already white. All of the accents in the room are either lavender or white (towels Shower curtain etc.) except for one large wall picture that is an artist rendering of our cat in bright bold colors. The picture really pops off the wall in a good way. I can't believe that my bathroom is now my favorite room in the house. You just can't play two colors like blue and yellow in a small space with out getting a circus look. I bet if you removed the yellow you could get a really beautiful old fashioned shabby chic look with the blue tiles and white walls. Add some wicker etc. Good luck!
